Day 1 Embark - Ushuaia

Today marks the beginning of your journey in Ushuaia, Argentina, known as the southernmost city in the world! You can spend your time exploring the city or venturing out into the local countryside. For those who enjoy hiking, take a morning hike in Tierra del Fuego to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the area. Alternatively, relax in a local bar until it's time to embark on your adventure.
Later in the day, we will board the Ocean Victory and indulge in our first delicious dinner on board. Our journey will commence as we navigate through the tranquil waters of the Beagle Channel, a strait located in the Tierra del Fuego Archipelago

Day 2-3 - At Sea Navigating the Drake!

As we navigate through the Drake Passage, we'll have the opportunity to witness the convergence of different ocean currents, which creates a unique ecosystem rich in marine wildlife. While the seas may be rough at times, we'll be able to enjoy the comfort of the Ocean Victory, which is equipped with stabilizers and powerful engines to ensure a safe and smooth journey. Crossing the Drake Passage is considered a lifetime achievement, and we will be able to proudly say that we've accomplished it twice on this journey. So sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey!

Day 4 - South Shetland Islands

Your Antarctic journey will kick off with an exhilarating and surreal adventure as you explore the sub-Antarctic islands of the South Shetland chain. The stunning landscapes will leave you in awe and take your breath away.
You will have the opportunity to explore Deception Island, a dormant volcano with waters that offer the possibility of a polar swim. You will also visit Half Moon Island, where Wilson's storm petrels nest. Regularly scheduled briefings by the captain and expedition leader will be provided, weather permitting.

Day 5-6 - Visiting the Antarctic Peninsula!

The Antarctic experience will also include visits to historic research stations, where you'll learn about the science and research that is being conducted in this remote and harsh environment. You'll have the opportunity to meet with scientists and learn about their work, as well as explore the facilities and see how life is sustained in such an extreme climate.
In addition to the scientific aspects of the trip, there will also be opportunities for recreational activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, and camping on the Antarctic continent. These activities will be dependent on weather and ice conditions, but if conditions allow, they can provide an unforgettable experience of being immersed in the stunning and pristine wilderness of Antarctica.
As the trip comes to a close, the ship will retrace its journey back across the Drake Passage, giving you time to reflect on the incredible experiences and memories you've made on this once-in-a-lifetime journey to the world's southernmost continent.

Day 7-8 - Crossing the Drake Passage once again!

The return journey from Antarctica is the perfect time to relax, reflect on your experiences, and enjoy the onboard amenities. As you sail through the southern ocean, you can take in the breathtaking views and keep an eye out for any remaining wildlife or unique weather patterns. There will also be plenty of opportunities to socialize and connect with other travelers. Make the most of this time and savor the memories of your unforgettable Antarctic adventure.
